VIP: Izzy is just the friendliest girl! She is so cute and full of smiles. Izzy is about 8 years of age and will make a great companion for you. She recently went on a group dog walk to a local park along with other dogs from the shelter. The volunteers said that she is a sweet girl! Don't judge the grey, she's got lots of energy! She was very focused on getting outside and very excited for the walk! Izzy was very patient while getting harnessed and geared up for the walk. She did need help getting into and out of the SUV. Izzy rode well in the car and had a great time on her walk! She got along well with all dogs in group! She is very sturdy and would be a great family member.<br/>Izzy was never claimed by her owner and wants her forever home. <br/>Adopted animals are not able to go to their new home until spay and neuter surgery has been done. <br/>Adoptions are first come first serve, and no appointment or application is needed. Plano Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoptions are first come first serve. There is no application. Anyone over 18 years of age is eligible to adopt provided that they meet the adoption criteria for that specific animal. Criteria can range from having basic knowledge of the animal’s species or breed, having an established veterinary history, not having young children, the animal being legal to own in the city they live in, the breed they’re interested in being accepted at their apartments, etc. If a potential adopter doesn’t meet the criteria in place for that animal, they will be encouraged to look at other animals that may not have those restrictions in place. The criteria must also be met in order to visit with an animal.
