****We are Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S) – Stephenville, TX - We are a small, foster based animal rescue, 501(c)3 non-profit organization, based out of Stephenville, TX. We work to rehabilitate and rehome unwanted cats and dogs in Stephenville and surrounding towns. We have recently expanded our scope to include Hamilton County, TX and are currently working with the City of Hamilton and the Hico Police Department to find loving foster and permanent homes for dogs that have been abandoned and have ended up in the Hamilton Pound or the Hico Animal Shelter. <br/> Pets Are Worth Saving (P.A.W.S.)’s mission is to sponsor low cost spay/neuter and wellness exams, provide community education and provide food and supplies to those in need. We also do our best to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or abused animals. Our animals are vaccinated and on preventatives. Her journey began when she and her three sisters were found abandoned in Hamilton County. While the shelter kept them safe, we knew a Texas cold snap was coming—and that’s when a heroic foster stepped up to get all four girls into a warm home just in time!<br/><br/>Personality & Traits: Ivy is the perfect balance of "play hard" and "snuggle harder." Her foster mom describes her as a true delight who has a sweet, protective nature. She takes her job as your companion seriously! While she was a little vocal when she first met the big dogs in her foster home, she has settled in beautifully and now gets along great with her large foster siblings.<br/><br/>Athletic Abilities: Don't let the short legs fool you—Ivy is an impressive little athlete! She has a unique talent for climbing (think: part dog, part mountain goat). Because of her agility and curiosity, she’ll do best in a home that keeps an eye on her outdoor adventures or has a secure space for her gymnastics. Ivy is new to being on leash but is pretty good at it.<br/><br/>Health & Home Life:<br/><br/>Status: Spayed and Up-to-Date on all vaccinations.<br/><br/>Dog Friendly: Yes! Currently living happily with two large dogs.<br/><br/>Ideal Home: Someone looking for a loyal, adorable protector who gives the best post-play cuddles.<br/><br/>Ivy survived the elements and the shelter; now she’s just waiting for a couch of her own.
