HI - I'M IVY! I'm a 5-year-old Siberian Husky girl, currently in the Greater Seattle area. I'm a sweet soul, always ready to share my warmth with you. I'm pretty smart too, I've been told. I love exploring, sniffing out new things. I'm also quite independent, content to entertain myself, but I do love humans. Your company will be my favorite pastime. I'm mellow for a husky, and easy to have around. And I'm cuddly. I love a good snuggle! My curiosity keeps life interesting, and my gentleness makes me a great companion.<br/><br/>I was rescued from a California shelter, where I had a kennel mate. But I can be a bit of an alpha girl, so my canine companion would need to be pretty special and understanding of my bossy girl ways. I truly am a people dog, and will be your shadow and welcome you home with a smile and a wag. I'm still very active and would love to go on some long walks or hikes. I weigh about 55 lbs. Once adopters inquire about an animal, we send them our application. From there, we interview them via phone, and when possible set up a meet and greet if we feel they are good candidates to adopt. We also have fosters in the three states mentioned and they help as well with meet and greets, photos and of course care of the animals.
