Ivy's Story
Ivy is around 12 pounds and probably under two years old. She is likely a Poodle and Terrier type mix. Six small female dogs were living in a crummy outdoor kennel and all were either pregnant or soon to be pregnant. We agreed to take all six in order to stop the cycle of reproduction and had planned to spay/abort immediately if possible. With the devastating overpopulation crisis, and so many unwanted puppies already born and breathing and waiting without hope, it's truly the kindest thing. One little mama actually delivered before getting on transport. She will raise her family in love and comfort in her Dogwood foster home, and then she and pups will be spayed/neutered and placed in loving homes, as will the other girls.

Ivy sleeps in her cozy crate throughout the night. She is decompressing and getting used to her new surroundings. She will soon learn to appreciate the joy of being touched. We will update as we get to know her better.

Applications at:

http://dogwoodanimalrescue.org/adoption-application-dogs/

You can follow us on social media at:

https://.www.instagram.com/dogwoodanimalrescue/
https://.www.facebook.com/.DogwoodAnimalRescue/

Making a difference, one animal at a time.
