Meet Ivy

This little beauty is Ivy. Ivy was born 11/2/2023. She is smart, happy, lovable, and very social. She is happiest when she's by her people, getting loved on. Pets, cuddles, kisses, she wants it all! She is energetic, sassy, and absolutely adorable. She likes to play with the other dogs in her foster home, especially chasing and being chased in the backyard. She is a huge fan of food and is always keeping her eyes peeled for an opportune moment to sneak a taste of your snacks! She loves a frozen, wet-food-filled Kong at the end of the day.

Ivy is very young, so she is still learning potty training, walking on a leash, and crate training, but we are working on it! She is very smart and craves interaction, play, and exercise. She is very loving, and we think she will grow up to be the perfect companion dog (though her foster Mom thinks she is already the perfect pup!) We hope that whoever adopts her is willing to train with her- she is three months old and so smart! Puppy training classes are a good idea for any young dog, and Ivy will surely excel with further training. Her foster home has two cats that she loves to bark at. Because she is the same size as the cats, there is little risk she would harm them, but assessing her prey drive at this time may be premature. She is learning to be trained to the crate but is not a huge fan of it and being alone. She is improving on not voicing her displeasure about being confined…treats and sturdy toys would help. We think Ivy would blossom in an active home with someone to exercise her brain and body. Other dogs and kids, we are sure she would enjoy both. A fenced yard would be her best option to let her get the puppy's energy out and keep her safe. But a fence is not a requirement. So come on and meet Ivy. She'll steal your heart!
