He is currently very reserved and unsure of the world around him. Even the breeder acknowledged that Ivar was this way while in their care, suggesting that his reserved nature is not simply the result of recent changes.<br/><br/>While Ivar isn't ready to show the world who he is just yet, we believe there is so much more to him than what we see today. Ivar will require another friendly, confident dog in his forever home. A canine companion will be essential in helping him navigate new experiences and learn what life as a family dog is all about.<br/><br/>Ivar's future adopter should understand that progress may come in small steps. Dogs like Ivar don't typically transform overnight. Ivar may not be the dog who runs up to greet you today, but he is a dog who deserves every chance to experience love, safety, and belonging. He's adjusting to all of the new noises, new people and a new schedule in his foster home. <br/><br/>While Ivar is shy and nervous in his environment he does incredibly well following the other dogs around. Where they go, he goes. He's very content finding a spot and watching everyone do their thing. He will let you easily pick him up, hold him, carry him and even snuggle up with him on the couch. He's done a wonderful job with potty training and has had 0 accidents since arriving! <br/><br/>If you have a home with another dog(s) and have extra love to share, please consider welcoming this cutie into your life!
