Itsy Chihuahua Mix Albany, NY

Itsy is approximately 9 years old (8lbs) and she is from KY. Another rescue had adopted her out 5 years ago but she was returned to the rescue when her owner became terminally ill. Itsy has been in foster care in NY for a few weeks and she lives with male and female dogs, both large and small. All of the dogs in the foster home are older and low key. Itsy peacefully coexists with all of the dogs but she prefers being around her people. She doesn’t want to be around higher energy dogs. Itsy wants your attention and she loves to be on your lap when you’re watching TV. She has been coming out of her shell and showing her playful side. She’s an outgoing little girl that likes meeting new people too. Itsy has had a few accidents in the house. She is crated at night, when she cannot be supervised and when she is fed. She will whine in the crate a little especially when it is time to eat. Itsy will need a fenced yard or she will have to leash walked as she tends to be very interested in chasing birds or other small critters. She has been exposed to horses and she is well behaved.
She has not been tested with children so we will not place her in a home with young children. She has not been tested with cats.
