Ira might be 9 years old, but between his youthful appearance and his vibrant liveliness, this little dude seems a whole lot younger than his real age.<br/><br/>Ira loves everyone, from kids to adults to the elderly. He’s totally chill around other dogs, preferring to peacefully coexist with them, rather than to play, wrestle, or roughhouse. Ira’s activity level is overall calm and couch potato-y, but he does get several bursts of energy throughout the day. He enjoys going for walks, he’s getting more accustomed to city noises, and he’s well-mannered on a leash. He responds to the command sit, and you’ll have his undivided attention every time you dangle a treat in front of his face. Ira is quite the nosher!<br/><br/>When it comes to love and affection, Ira is all in. Pet him, massage him, scratch him, give him a belly rub, whatever you wanna do to him, he’s ecstatic. He is a pleasure to pick up, portable enough to take anywhere, and he’s completely relaxed when traveling. One of his favorite activities is snoozing in a person’s lap. Doesn’t matter where he is or with whom. He’s truly the most lovable ‘lil creature imaginable.<br/><br/>Ira is busy at work perfecting his housebreaking skills, and is making excellent daily progress. Same for his crate training. With each passing day, Ira is learning that his crate is his safe space in the daytime, and a cozy place to sleep at night. Whoever said an old dog can’t learn new tricks never met Ira!<br/><br/>Ira is likely the sweetest, easiest-going, most darling older gentleman you’ll ever come to know. Everyone who meets him is dazzled by his positive demeanor, genuine kindness, and his irresistibly cute face.
