Ipkiss

Ipkiss is 25 pounds of pure pug, and he would like you to know that he has plenty of things left on his agenda. At about 8 years old, Ipkiss is getting into his senior years, but you wouldn't know it from watching him. This big guy still has plenty of pep in his step and loves getting out to investigate absolutely everything. New smells? He needs to check them out. New friends? He'd like to meet them. Something happening across the room? Ipkiss will be over there shortly.<br/><br/>He came to Pug Nation after his previous owner could no longer care for him. Since arriving, we've gotten to know a really sweet, curious dog who seems to enjoy life quite a bit! Ipkiss is very food motivated, which is both a blessing and a slight logistical challenge because he is currently carrying a little more weight than he should. Fortunately, he is perfectly willing to accept healthier forms of bribery. Apple slices and carrots have officially made the cut, so Ipkiss can still enjoy his favorite hobby while working toward a healthier weight.<br/><br/>His future family will need to keep that going. Regular exercise, sensible treats, and helping him maintain a healthy weight will be important as he gets older and will go a long way toward keeping this guy feeling good for years to come.<br/><br/>Ipkiss does have some vision impairment and needs eye drops to keep his eyes lubricated. He can still see some and gets around just fine, but his eyes will need continued care as he ages. His ideal owner will either have experience with senior dogs or be willing to learn what he needs as he moves into his golden years.<br/><br/>Otherwise, Ipkiss is a pretty easygoing guy. He does great with other dogs and is wonderful with people of all ages, including children. He's curious, playful, affectionate, and still has plenty of energy for adventures, but he's also perfectly content to spend an afternoon snoozing next to his favorite person.<br/><br/>At 8 years old, Ipkiss isn't ready for the fun to end.
