Meet Indigo

Here I am....ready to bring color to your life! I'm Indigo, an 11 month old, 49 pound pit bull mix, a bundle of energy wrapped in the hues of curiosity and sweetness. Right out the gate, I was the first to challenge the puppy pen, a sign of my spirited and resilient nature. In my foster home I am busy working on house, crate and leash training. Beyond my boundless energy, I'm a sucker for cuddles, although my enthusiasm might be a bit much for the little ones. I do get along with cats, dogs and older kids. I am quick learner and already know the commands for "sit" "wait" and "catch". My foster parents have taken me to the lake and with a life jacket, I have learned to dive right in! A house with a fenced yard or an apartment would me just fine, although I will need daily exercise. My journey so far is a colorful patchwork of resilience, love for companionship, and an insatiable curiosity for everything around me. I'm not just a pup; I'm a vibrant splash of Indigo, leaving my mark on every heart I meet.

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!

*Remember, dogs are pack animals. Because of this, Rescue One does not adopt to outdoor-only homes. Pets are family and are not disposable. Please make sure that you are 100% committed to a pet before considering adding one to your home.

We are a foster-based organization, and we need more fosters to help us save more animals! If you’re interested in saving lives just like the one you’re reading about, fill out a foster app here. To foster dogs: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/foster/ROS/Dog
