Indianapolis's Story
Little 4-month-old Indianapolis loves playing with water! She is starting to snuggle with her foster mom This is a huge step for sweet Indy. Her foster mom will tell you why...

"Indianapolis came in to the shelter terrified of humans. She cowered in the corner, recoiling after any human interaction. It was clear that these pups were going to need time to adjust and time to learn how to receive love. Fast-forward to now and she is busting out of her shell...

She is a happy girl that reminds me of Tigger with her constant bouncing and excitement. She absolutely loves following around my big dogs, and she is very curious about my cat. She seems to want to play with my cat, so far interactions have been friendly. She will need time to trust her new environment-a gentle and patient soul is what she needs.

She will make a great companion for a family that can slowly teach her the ropes, I think she will do great with a friendly dog that she can follow around and emulate after." -Indianapolis's foster mom

She is spayed and is currently living in a foster home. We were told that Indianapolis is possibly a lab/Australian shepherd mix but we cannot guarantee a breed. Please email us at pets@michianapets.org if you'd like to adopt her!

Indianapolis will be a "foster-to-adopt" for two weeks. We'd like to ensure her adjustment is successful, and we are here to guide her adopters. Indianapolis MUST be adopted into a home with another dog who is friendly and welcoming. She really shines brighter and relaxes around other dogs. Children should be about 10ish and older. Indianapolis's adopter should be familiar with and experienced in handling under-socialized dogs. We think she'd love someone interested in training so she can learn many valuable things
