Indianapolis's Story
Meet adoptable puppy Indianapolis at Michiana Humane Society on Monday, July 27th from 2pm-6pm CT She is about 4-months-old, is 18 pounds (give or take), and is spayed

Here is a note from her foster mom:

"Indianapolis is so darn cute. And even sweeter than she is cute, if you can believe that. And she is hysterical and entertaining to say the least! She loves chasing the water from the hose as well as taking a dip in the pool. She is learning to swim-she's quite the summer girl

Indianapolis loves frolicking in the grass; chasing down any flying bug her little leaps can catch. She loves playing fetch as well as romping around with the big dogs.

She is, however, a garden thief She loves asparagus, cucumbers, and green beans. She is working on her digging skills, as well...I think she was a farmer in her former life She really is so sweet

Her potty-training is going quite well! She will do great in a home that has a friendly dog that can match her level of play. She has been doing very well with respectful kids-she takes a special interest in them. She has the cutest wonky ears and a zest for life. She has come so far from the terrified, little, unhealthy pup that arrived at the shelter. Her glow up is truly remarkable." -Indianapolis's foster mom

We were told that Indianapolis is possibly a lab/Australian shepherd mix but we cannot guarantee a breed. Indianapolis MUST be adopted into a home with another dog who is friendly and welcoming. She really shines brighter and relaxes around other dogs. Children should be about 8ish and older.

Indianapolis will be a "foster-to-adopt" for two weeks. She is already spayed! We'd like to ensure her adjustment is successful, and we are here to guide her adopters. Indianapolis's adopter should be familiar with and experienced in handling under-socialized dogs. We think she'd love someone interested in training so she can learn many valuable things
