Ian's Story
Ian is a sweet senior who has already lived through more than most dogs ever should, yet he still shows up every day with a gentle, trusting heart.

Estimated to be about 10 years old and weighing 15 pounds, Ian was originally found as a stray and brought into a local shelter in very poor condition. Ian was extremely underweight, heavily infested with ticks, and suffering from a severe eye injury. To relieve his pain his eye was ultimately removed. But because of his fragile overall health, he was placed on an urgent timeline at the shelter so we quickly stepped in to bring him to Pug Nation.

When Ian arrived to us, it was immediately clear he needed time, comfort, and consistent care to feel safe again. He received multiple rounds of treatment, steady nutrition, and plenty of "spa days" with us while he recovered. Little by little, he started to come back to himself, and today he is in a much brighter, more stable place and is ready to find his forever home!

Ian may only have one eye, but he sees the good in everything! He is gentle, affectionate, and deeply people-oriented. He loves attention, enjoys being close to his humans, and is happiest simply settling in beside you and staying there because that's where he feels secure.

He does well with other dogs, especially calm, easygoing buddies who match his mellow energy. Ian does have some arthritis, but he's doing well with his medications and joint supplements. He still enjoys slow strolls, warm sunshine, and being included in everyday life at a relaxed pace.

What Ian is really looking for now is simple: a stable home, a soft place to rest, and someone who will see him for exactly who he is...a very good boy! An ideal adopter will have experience with senior dogs and be ready to help him continue aging comfortably and with dignity. Interested in this sweet boy? Please inquire today!
