Hurley Chihuahua & Dachshund Mix Eugene, OR

Hurley is a 2 yr chi weenie mix (best guess) and about 8 whole lbs. This little guy came to us as he was 5 days from being euthanized. His biggest issue is he can be very shy and timid. But he does warm up as you can see in his photos he will cuddle up with you. He gets along well with other dogs but does resource guard his people and his food. We find a lot of shelter pups experience this from a shelter setting since it’s a scary place. When he gets nervous he will attempt to pancake himself to the floor to make himself as small as possible. He is working on potty training. He does mark in the house which we are hoping this will subside since he's been nuetered. He doesn't mind wearing belly bands to help the marking.
