Meet Hunter
Hunter is a 2 year old male GSD whose owner passed away. He stayed in his home via help from neighbor until the rescue community could help him find his way to SGSDR. He's been through a lot, but this boy is taking it all in stride.
Hunter knows sit and takes treats with a soft mouth. He is very friendly with people and enjoys meeting other dogs. Like many of the young dogs that we help Hunter needs work on leash manners, basic obedience, and channeling his energy in constructive ways.
As with all of our dogs - Interested adopters will be encouraged to seek out the assistance of a professional trainer to set both Hunter and his new family up for success. This will be the perfect opportunity for bonding and getting to know one another as you build good habits together. He's a great dog, and he would make a wonderful addition to an active family looking to spend days out in the yard with a ball, or trekking the hiking trails.
He has not been tested with kitty cats or children.

Our Adoption Fees:

*Dogs and puppies 12 months old or younger: $450
* Adult dogs over 12 months of age: $400
* Senior dogs over 7 years of age qualify for our "Seniors FUREVER" program! Seniors are special to us, so we offer two options:
(1) If your heart has a special place for the seniors, you can adopt a senior dog for the regular adoption fee of $400 and this becomes a perpetual fee. You can adopt another SGSDR senior dog at any time from us in the future at NO CHARGE.
(2) If you aren't sure about your future adoption capacity, you may adopt your SGSDR senior dog for a reduced adoption fee of $250.
