Hugo's Story

Hi there, my name is Hugo

(But my foster family also calls me "Piggy," thanks to my adorable little piggy tail-and my sixyearold foster brother insists it's the perfect nickname.)

I'm a 6yearold French Bulldog gentleman, and I'm here to tell you a little about myself in hopes that you might be my forever person (or people!).

I may be small, but my heart is big, gentle, and full of love. I am incredibly sweet and great with kids. I really enjoy being around people and feel happiest when I'm close by. I'm the ultimate cuddlebug. If you're looking for a loyal companion who just wants to be with you, I'm your guy.

One thing you should know about me: I'm a very quiet soul. In fact my foster family didn't know if I could bark until they heard me several days after being with them. I'm calm, relaxed, and easygoing-more of a "hang out and chill" kind of pup than a busy, highenergy one. I don't need long walks or lots of activity. A cozy home, loving humans, and a comfy place to nap are really all I need to be happy.

I'm doing great with my house manners too! I'm cratetrained and feel safe in my crate, and I already know how to sit (especially if food is involved... which I love very much.). I also love a good massage after a bath.

I'm still working on potty training, but I'm making great progress and just need a patient family who understands that learning takes a little time.

I should also share a bit about my past. I didn't always have it easy and had been on the streets for some time. But despite that rough start, I still trust and love people deeply. I truly just want to be where the people are. That's where I feel safe and happy.

I also have a cleft palate, which makes me a little unique, but it doesn't stop me from being the affectionate, loving, lowmaintenance companion I was meant to be.

Love,
Hugo (aka Piggy)

Hugo is a male French Bulldog with an estimated date of birth of 4/1/20. He weighs 18 lbs.

K-9 Angels Rescue's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION FEEs: CASH or CHECK ONLY DOGS $200 ($275 for Puppies) - includes spay/neuter alteration, shots, microchip, medicines and other medical procedures, if necessary. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: Due to the Coronavirus we are suspending out of state adoptions until further notice. Our puppies can only be adopted to the immediate Houston vicinity as it takes 4 months for complete vetting by our Houston veterinarian. We have been inundated with too many applications and, going forward, we will only review applications for people who currently have a dog or who have had a dog where the vet reference is in THE APPLICANT's name. We are unable to respond to email inquiries and requests for updates as we do not have the staff or capacity to handle all the emails/applications we are receiving. We will contact you via email with approvals and/or requests should we need additional information. When we reopen for adoptions it will be by appointment only for pre-approved adopters with good vet references. We will continue to do 3rd and 4th vaccinations for any previously adopted puppies from 10am-12pm on Saturdays at the adoption center. Please follow instructions upon your arrival there.
