Hughie Hound & Beagle Mix Springfield, MO

When life feels overwhelming, remember: You are stronger than you know, and every storm eventually runs out of rain. I'm Hughie, a 10 month old, 41 pound mix of hound and beagle. I'm a sweet and loving young pup, but I do get a bit nervous and anxious sometimes. I'd really love a calm home with just one person or a quiet couple. Little kids can be a bit scary for me, so I'd prefer a space without them. I'm friendly with other dogs, but not so much with cats. A fenced yard would be awesome for me to feel safe and play around. I'm still learning the ropes of being a good housemate and walking on a leash, but I'm getting there. Life has been a bit overwhelming for me, but I'm hopeful that with some patience and understanding, I can become more comfortable. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who enjoys quiet moments, I might be the pup for you.

I am currently enrolled in the Pups for Parole training program. Upon graduation, I will have all the basic training necessary to make a great companion. I will need a family willing to continue my training, I sure don't want to forget all that I learned!

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip!
