HUDSON's Story

Just Here for a Good Time
Meet Hudson, a happy-go-lucky guy who seems determined to squeeze every bit of fun out of life.

Hudson is a joy to take out and is ready for whatever adventure comes next. He starts his walks with a little enthusiasm on leash, but after a chance to stretch his legs and play in the yard, he settles into a much more relaxed groove.

Hudson is the perfect mix of playful and easygoing. He enjoys chasing a ball and gets genuinely excited when you throw one—although once he reaches it, there's a good chance he'll discover something else interesting and forget what he was doing. Priorities change quickly when you're having as much fun as Hudson!

He's friendly with people, enjoys affection, and is always happy to come over for pets before heading back out to explore on his own. Hudson also has a social side, happily frolicking with a neighboring dog and showing calm interest in other dogs passing by without barking or becoming fixated.

This smart boy knows a hand signal for sit and seems to pay closer attention to that than the verbal cue. He's treat motivated, though sometimes his enthusiasm gets ahead of his manners when snacks are involved.

Hudson has a joyful spirit that's hard to resist. Whether he's making friends, exploring the yard, chasing a ball, or simply soaking up some affection, he approaches life with a happy heart and a wagging tail.

If you're looking for a fun-loving companion who can make an ordinary day feel a little brighter, Hudson is ready to meet you.

Hudson has participated in shelter playgroups and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in his new home. Looking for a buddy for your dog? Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we're a match! Check out his playgroup video here:

To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To help expedite the meet and greet process, please make note of my Animal ID number, and those of other dogs you might be interested in meeting. Be sure to bring your ID with you, too. We are located at 3839 Bradshaw Road, Sacramento. I look forward to getting to know you!
