Hudson is a wonderful companion for people who don’t frequently entertain at home.

Hudson is wary of meeting new people, but once he realizes he’s safe and the new person is kind, he completely opens up.

As soon as he knows you’ll be kind to him, he is playful and loving. He also doesn’t forget people who have helped him in the past. He has a cadre of friends that love him and he doesn’t forget them when he sees them, no matter how much time has passed.

He is house trained, quiet, smart and very loving. Hudson just adores being with the people he loves. He’ll follow you around because he always wants to be with you.

If you work from home, he loves to curl up beside you while you work. He’s so quiet that people on Zoom meetings won’t know he’s there unless you show him to them.

He’s great company while you’re cooking. He’ll lie quietly out of your way and is always willing to do a taste test for you if you need one. He also likes chewing on a toy or lying quietly beside you in the evenings while you watch TV.

Hudson is good on walks and likes a regular routine. Hudson has learned to relax and not react to people or dogs in many circumstances, but Hudson will never be a dog-park kind of guy, and that’s OK. He needs friends that help him know he’s safe.

Hudson has learned to relax in his foster home after spending a lot of his life stressed out in a kennel. He loves rolling on his back in the fenced in yard and occasionally doing zoomies, just because.

Hudson is really good at learning your rules and will respond to training quickly when it’s done with kindness (and treats!).
