Howie's Story

Meet Howie! This adorable 12 pound cutie was wandering the streets of rural Colorado and we are so thrilled that he was able to come to our program. Howie is getting to know all there is about being loved and being a dog. So far the only thing he does not appreciate is sleeping in the crate. He would much rather be right next to the humans and his other dog friends. Howie has been respectful of the cats and enjoys having a k9 friend to hang out with. If you are looking for a small dog to cuddle with, Howie is your guy. Like so many other shelter dogs, Howie will need someone to be patient with him while he continues to build his confidence and learn all there is to know about being a loved part of the family. Our program would be happy to set up a meet and greet with you and Howie and help to any introductions to your family.

Pawsitive Pathways Inc.'s Adoption Policy

If you are interested in adopting one of our great pups please fill out an interest form! Usually a meet and greet will be scheduled and if you choose to move forward with adoption you will fill out our adoption contract. Then, your new dog is hand-delivered to you! This gives us the opportunity to see your home, meet the entire family and any other pets you may already own, facilitate introductions, answer any questions and ensure an overall smooth transition for your new companion. Our adoption fees range from $150-450 per dog.

Our mission is to save dogs from rural, underserved areas of Colorado where they are unable or unlikely to be adopted or are at risk of euthanasia.
