Hopper German Shepherd Dog Mix Battle Ground, WA

Meet Hopper! This handsome boy is just over a year old, and is such a good dog!! He spent two weeks in training with a trainer, and he’s great with sit, down, place, heel. His recall is also good but could use some additional practice around other dogs. He’s also potty trained! Hopper is dog friendly and he loves playing with his dog friends!! He is fostered in Ridgefield, WA.

Hopper loves people, and will happily follow his family around the house. He is a confident boy, except can get spooked by loud random noises outside. The only thing Hopper really doesn’t like is getting a bath!

On his own, Hopper is a calm, cuddly boy. If you have other dogs (which he does love) he definitely is an energetic boy. Hopper loves to chew on bones, rubber toys and yak bones. He would carry his jolly ball with him everywhere if he could! Hopper has been great with kids as young as 2, but he’s still not super aware of his size. He has knocked the toddler over a few times, but other than that he has done really well with kids!

Hopper sleeps in his crate. He does well in a kennel, but would prefer it isn’t all day. If he sees other dogs loose while he is crated, he will bark and paw at his kennel because he’d like to join in the fun. Hopper is a calm lazy dog on his own, but with another dog he will definitely feed off of their energy! He’d love a home ready to exercise him once or twice a day.
