Hopper's Story
Meet **Hopper**, a fluffy, happy-go-lucky puppy who is already proving to be a pretty fantastic little sidekick.

At about **13 weeks old (as of 9.1) and around 18 pounds**, Hopper is affectionate, social and surprisingly easygoing for such a young puppy. He loves to follow his people around the house, curl up in a cozy lap for a nap, and happily entertain himself with toys.

Hopper also **loves other dogs**. When his foster siblings weren’t immediately interested in puppy play, he handled it beautifully — he gave them space, entertained himself and waited for them to warm up. Now that one of them is starting to engage, Hopper is more than happy to return the favor with some goofy puppy play and the occasional affectionate cheek nibble.

He is also wonderfully social with people. Hopper recently went to work with his foster and spent a meeting being passed around from person to person. He was perfectly content to hang out with everyone, didn’t make a peep and didn’t disrupt the meeting at all.

He’s making great progress with **potty training**, and crate training has come a long way too. At first, Hopper was pretty sure the crate was torture. Now he will actually **take himself into it to relax**, which says a lot about how quickly he can adapt and learn with consistency.

We believe Hopper may have **Great Pyrenees** in his family tree, although breed is always our best guess with rescue puppies. Based on his current size, we do expect him to grow into a fairly large dog.

Because of that, we are looking for an adopter who is truly prepared to **train a growing large-breed puppy** — including leash skills, manners, boundaries, continued socialization and all the consistency that helps an adorable baby become a well-mannered adult dog.

Hopper is sweet, silly, dog-friendly, people-loving and already showing us that he can be both playful and easy to live with.

If you’re looking for a fluffy little shadow who can play with a buddy, entertain himself with toys, snooze in your lap and grow into your big best friend, **Hopper may be your guy.**
