Hope/Lily's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

25-066 Hope, now known as Lily, is a 5-1⁄2-year-old Golden Retriever. She came from a breeder who no longer wanted to use her as a puppy producer. No dog should ever live in those circumstances. The adopter knew that! Lily is now hers, and the adopter has been guiding Lily to build her confidence so she can feel safe and secure. Lily is a shy, quiet girl, pretty reserved until she is comfortable. Once she discovered tennis balls, she turned into quite the athlete, and will only be interrupted by the quail and bunnies running through the yard. The adopter describes the sweetest habit of Lily's:

She has become an expert at moving toys sometime during the night from her toy basket to her bed or mine without making a sound, so every morning is a surprise! She is such a joy to wake up to every morning! She is such an angel.
