Meet Hope Eloise (Elle) <br/>Some dogs survive.<br/>Hope Eloise has fought.<br/>Affectionately known as Elle by her foster family, this sweet little Great Pyrenees mix has spent the last two months proving that hope really can change everything.<br/>Elle was found alone in a ditch at a rural oil well site.<br/>She was covered in fleas and ticks. Flies were literally eating away at her tiny ears. She was so emaciated that she didn't even have the strength to stand on her own.<br/>No puppy should ever begin life that way.<br/>After arriving at Fairy Dogmother Rescue, Elle received exceptional medical care from Dr. Skube and the wonderful team at Crestwood Animal Hospital. Then she moved into a foster home where healing truly began.<br/>Not just because she had food.<br/>Not just because she finally had a soft bed.<br/>But because she had a family.<br/>Her foster siblings quietly took on the role of physical therapists, encouraging her to play, explore, and simply be a puppy.<br/>As Elle grew stronger, we realized something else was going on.<br/>Instead of walking straight, she would walk in tight circles, a common sign of a neurological injury. We believe she was likely hit by a car before she was abandoned.<br/>But if you ask Elle...<br/>None of that matters anymore.<br/>Today, this little survivor can walk in a nearly straight line. She can run. She chases her foster siblings through the yard with pure joy, and her tail never seems to stop wagging.<br/>Her beautiful coat has grown back after the fleas stole it away, and every day she discovers something new about the world around her.<br/>Elle will likely always experience some learning delays because of her neurological injury. She needs an adopter with patience, compassion, and the understanding that she may learn at her own pace.<br/>But where Elle isn't delayed is in loving people.<br/>She is one of the snuggliest puppies you'll ever meet. Fairy Dogmother Rescue Inc.'s Adoption Policy
Adoption Process (Foster-Based Rescue) 1. Application Submission Potential adopters complete an Adoption Application that is emailed to the organization Application includes personal information, pet ownership history, veterinary references, landlord approval (if applicable), and agreement to rescue policies. 2. Application Review & Screening Rescue volunteers review applications. References and veterinary checks are conducted If concerns arise, the rescue may request clarification or decline the application. 3. Phone/Email Interview Rescue volunteer contacts the applicant to discuss lifestyle, experience with pets, and expectations. Provides education on breed-specific needs, rescue policies, and long-term commitment. 4. Meet & Greet If the application is approved, a meet and greet is scheduled between the adopter, the foster family, and the dog. Other pets in the adopter’s home may be introduced (either at the foster’s home, rescue event, or neutral location). 5. Home Visit (If needed) Checks for secure fencing, adequate space, and overall suitability. 6. Approval & Adoption Fee Once approved, adopters sign the Adoption Agreement, including terms for care, return policy, and spay/neuter compliance (if not already altered). Adoption fee is collected, helping cover veterinary and rescue costs. 7. Final Veterinary Care Dogs are fully vetted prior to adoption: Examined, vaccinated, microchipped Spayed/neutered (or adopter signs Early Spay/Neuter Agreement for puppies) Provided flea/tick and deworming treatment Heartworm tested and treated if needed 8. Adoption Day & Transfer of Care Dog is transferred to the adopter with: Medical/vaccination records Microchip registration instructions Adoption packet with care resources Foster family may provide transition advice and supplies (toys, food, bedding if available). 9. Post-Adoption Follow-Up Rescue checks in with adopter (usually at 24 hours, 1 week, 1 month, and 3 months). Provides support for adjustment, training, and veterinary needs. If issues arise, the dog may be returned under the terms of the adoption contract.
