Hope's Story

Hope springs eternal!

The perfect saying for our Hope , who would like this spring to be the happiest time of her life . She has been a wonderful foster dog. Now, she deserves her forever people.

Hope is a 6-year-old English Foxhound mix who weighs about 55 pounds. She's pretty, she's smart, she's a doll. You could stop reading here, because that's really all you need to know. But we'll go ahead and tell you more!

She has gotten into the routine well at her foster home and loves time with her foster people. She is excellent with children and with all people - it's easy to love her. She likes to go for walks and is great on the leash, and she likes to do a bit of zooming in the yard. But she doesn't need a huge amount of exercise. She likes to lay at your feet while you work or relax and just enjoys her people's company.

Hope sits on command, and she's learning stay, shake and lay. She always comes when she's called, whether you say her name or whistle for her. This intelligent girl is a quick study for training, and she takes treats gently from your hand - she'll be easy and fun to train to do just about anything. She is crate-trained and house-trained.

Hope's way of resting her head on your hands or on your lap is one of the best feelings in the whole wide world. She lets you know she loves you and is grateful to you.

She can be iffy with other dogs at times, so her foster people have socialized her with other canines as best they can. She probably should be the only dog, but it's possible that over time, as she accustoms herself, she could do fine with a dog buddy in the home.

Hope is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped, as well as current on heartworm preventative and flea/tick prevention. Her adoption fee is $175. Spring into action, and don't delay to fill out the application for her today! Meet & greets will be scheduled with approved adopters from PawsitiveTailsKC.org.

APPLY @ PawsitiveTailsKC.org

Pawsitive Tails's Adoption Policy
Pawsitive Tails is dedicated to matching the needs and personality of our dogs with your family. We are not in a hurry to adopt out our dogs; we want to make sure the match is perfect for everyone. All of the dogs in our rescue live in foster homes with both the human and furry members of our families. Our adoption process begins with an application which can be found under the "adopt" tab on our website, www.pawsitivetailskc.org. Please complete the form in full; the questions we ask help us to fully understand what type of dog you are looking for, and to make sure you get the very best fit. Incomplete applications will not be processed. If you do not include a vet phone number, a landlord phone number (if applicable), or 3 complete references, we cannot process your application. We will contact your Veterinarian, so please make sure to call them to release your vet history to our volunteer. &nbs
