Hoot's Story

Meet Hoot – Your Sweet and Spunky Pug-Jack Russell Mix!

📍 Location: Calgary
🎂 Age: 3 years old
💲 Adoption Fee: $495
✅ Health: Spayed, fully vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and just had a dental cleaning!

Hoot is a delightful Pug-Jack Russell Terrier mix with a heart as big as her adorable eyes. She’s a fun-loving, sweet girl who’s looking for a calm, adults-only home where she can truly shine. While she’s gentle and affectionate, Hoot can get a bit anxious in a chaotic environment, so a quiet, structured home will help her feel secure. She LOVES to play with her toys, ball, and have human interaction and is VERY food motivated.

🏡 Ideal Home:
Hoot thrives in a peaceful, adult-only home without children. She’s previously lived with another dog and can be quite submissive and carefree around canine friends. She’s also lived with a cat but has a bit of prey drive, so she’ll either need a cat-free home or careful management if there’s a feline friend around.

🌟 Personality & Needs:
Hoot is very well house-trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. She does love her walks and is not reactive to other dogs on leash, though she can pull a little. She’s crate trained and does best with a six-foot fence since she’s a bit of an escape artist if she finds an opening. She can be a bit nervous with car rides and nail trims, but she’s a sweetheart who just needs a little reassurance.

🍖 Special Notes:
Hoot has some food allergies, so she does best on specific proteins (currently on Lamb and Rice). She’s doing great on her current diet, and we’ll be happy to guide you on what works for her.

If you’re looking for a loving, snuggly companion who will thrive in a calm, structured environment, Hoot might be your perfect match. Give her the loving forever home she deserves, and she’ll reward you with endless affection and joy.

💛 Apply to adopt Hoot today!
