Honey's Story
Meet Honey
Approx. 2.5 years old 57 lbs Lab mix (best guess)

Honey is one of those dogs who just fits. Honey is house trained, crate trained, walks nicely on leash, and has impeccable house manners - no counter surfing, no trash diving, and she politely declines the furniture (even when invited up).

She's incredibly gentle and easygoing. The kind of dog who is happy to be near you, quietly part of whatever the day holds.

Honey is:
House trained
Crate trained
Loose-leash walker
Great with cats
Gentle with babies and kids
Friendly and approachable

She's also a smart girl who is picking things up quickly - she's already coming when called inside and is eager to learn more.

Toys aren't really her thing (she'd rather hang out with her people), but she does have a soft spot for one special green ball. Mostly, she's content to just be close and enjoy the moment.

And for a little bonus charm - Honey has extra toes on her back feet, which just adds to her already sweet, unique personality.

Honey came to us after being found with her puppies in an abandoned home. She's done her job raising them - now it's her turn to be someone's dog.

Medical note: Honey is heartworm positive and currently undergoing treatment. All treatment costs are covered by the rescue, and our team will support her adopter through the process.

If you're looking for a calm, gentle, easy companion who will settle in and simply belong... Honey is your girl.

All Heart of America Humane Society dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations. If you have other dogs in your home, we require a dog meet prior to adoption.

Apply here: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HAUS/Dog
