Honey's Story

Meet Honey!

A 48lb, 2-year-old, Rottweiler mix who was found abandoned in a trailer with busted-out windows during sub-zero temperatures. Ice had formed across the floor, and Honey was left trying to survive the bitter cold. To make matters worse, he was covered in paint, as if he’d been discarded along with the mess. Despite everything he endured, Honey’s spirit remained unshaken.

True to his name, Honey is incredibly sweet. He greets people with gentle eyes and a soft, hopeful presence. There isn’t a bitter bone in his body—just a quiet resilience and a big heart ready to love again. Honey is especially interested in other dogs and would likely enjoy a canine companion who can show him the ropes and share in his newfound safety and comfort. He has shown that he doesn’t mind cats when passing by them.

Honey does struggle with being alone and would do best in a home where someone is around often, as he experiences separation anxiety and does not do well being crated. He thrives on companionship and reassurance from his people.

After surviving the cold and neglect, Honey deserves a warm home, a soft bed, and a family who will never let him feel abandoned again.

We do all adoptions with approved applicants by appointment only.
