Honey's Story

Honey was found abandoned in a rural area of Central TX. She was starving & had clearly been nursing puppies although her puppies were never found. She was taken into foster care where she has flourished in every way.

She has been spayed, vaccinated & is on monthly heartworm prevention. She gets along well with other dogs. Her foster family has another foster pup, Whiskey, who is an outgoing, playful, low-key male & they are wonderful friends. Honey has been around outside cats & seems to ignore them but we suggest she gets proper introductions to a new cat as she does like to bark at cats outside of her foster families backyard.

Honey is really smart. She learns routine quickly & is easy to manage. She is crate trained & has had no accidents. She loves toys & a fluffy soft bed to sleep in. She is a bit stand-offish with strangers but quickly warms up. She walks well on a leash & enjoys car rides. Her foster family does not have children but Honey has given them no indication she would be anything but kid-friendly.
