Our Mission

San Saba County Friends of Animals is a all-volunteer foster-based 501(c)(3) animal rescue. Our mission is to assist lost, abandoned, neglected and abused animals in San Saba County, Texas by helping to reunite lost pets with their owners, fostering and caring for homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens, finding appropriate adoptive homes for surrendered or abandoned pets and providing assistance to low-income pet owners through occasional distributions of pet food. We also seek to educate the members of our community about responsible pet ownership, including the importance of spay/neuter, regular vaccinations and adequate veterinary care, and we conduct a trap/neuter/return program for feral cats in our community.

Please visit our website at https://sansabaanimals.com for more information about volunteer based non-profit organization.

Adoption Policy

Prospective adopters are asked to complete an adoption application. The application is reviewed by our adoptions committee. We typically check vet and personal references and confirm landlord permission, if applicable. If the adoption is approved, SSCFOA and the adopter enter into an adoption contract. An adoption fee of $50 to $100 is required..

Visits are by appointment only because we do not have a physical facility.

If you are interested in one of our foster animals, please contact us at info@sansabaanimals.com to request an application and set up an appointment.
