Honey's Story

Meet Honey, a girl whose name couldn't suit her more.

Honey is a beautiful young mixed breed who has an incredible story of resilience. She came to Puppy Mill Rescue Team alongside her puppies after they were confiscated from a home. While her past may not have been easy, Honey has never let it define her. Instead, she's embraced her second chance with an open heart and a gentle spirit, soaking up every bit of love and attention now that her puppies have grown and are beginning lives of their own.

A DNA test revealed that Honey is an almost even 50/50 mix of Cane Corso and Pit Bull Terrier, and she truly represents the very best qualities of both breeds. She is strikingly beautiful, deeply loyal, incredibly affectionate, and has an easygoing personality that makes her just as happy lounging with her family as she is joining them on an adventure. She's also perfect sized at about 60 lbs now that she's a healthy weight.

Honey has quickly become a favorite among everyone she's met. She adores people, is wonderful with children, doesn't mind the confident cat on the farm (or the wide array of farm animals) and would happily share her home with another friendly dog. She's the kind of dog who fits naturally into family life, always ready to offer a wagging tail, a loving gaze, and a loyal heart.

As part of her journey to a fresh start, Honey will be spayed and have surgery to repair her missing eye before her vetting is complete. She'll proudly wear the sweetest little pirate wink.

Honey has already stolen the hearts of her foster family and everyone lucky enough to meet her. Now she's simply waiting for a forever family to call her own. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a heart as sweet as her name, Honey is ready to make your family complete. Puppy Mill Rescue Team 's Adoption Policy
ADOPTION POLICIES The Puppy Mill Rescue Team’s dogs are placed into adoptive homes within 60 miles of the foster home. We have foster homes in Rochester, NY, Buffalo, NY, and Macedonia, OH. When applying for a specific dog please check the profile to see where the dog is located. If you are not in this area and are looking to adopt, we recommend that you visit our Rescue Partners area or Petfinder.com to locate a rescue in your area. A legally binding Adoption Agreement must be signed at the time a dog is placed. The adoption donation varies and is included in the dog’s description on the website as well as in the Adoption Agreement. Adoption donations are not negotiable and payment must be made in full prior to or at the time of the placement of the dog. Please read prior to submission of an application for adoption. All potential homes must complete our adoption process which includes an application, meet and greet, home inspection and veterinary reference. Applicants must provide veterinary references if they have previously owned a pet and contact veterinary facilities to authorize release of their records to a PMRT representative upon request. Applicants who rent their homes must verify that they are permitted to have a dog and provide a landlord contact number on the adoption application. Landlords will be contacted in every case, no exception. The primary adopter must be at least 21 years old. We are solely committed to the dogs accepted into the rescue. We want to find them loving, permanent homes and go to great lengths to place the right dog into the right family. We reserve the right to decline any adoption based on what we feel is in the best interest of the dog.
