Honey's Story
**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Meet Honey — your lucky new best friend! 🍀🐶

Honey is an active 32 lb, 2-year-old spayed female who appears to be a Foxhound–Spaniel mix. With her curious nose leading the way, she’s always ready for a little adventure — whether it’s exploring the outdoors or sniffing out her next treat!

She’s already potty trained and working on crate training. Honey is also learning her manners and is very food motivated, so continued training will be both fun and rewarding.

Honey gets along wonderfully with older children, other dogs, and even cats. (Hasn't had experience with younger children.) She is sure to form a deep bond with her fur-ever family.

And here’s a fun bonus — Honey has double dewclaws on her back legs, which we like to think means she brings double the luck and double the love! Send in your application!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
