Hondo's Story

Hondo is a 3 year old Cane Corso. He was scheduled for euthanasia at 2 years old for resource guarding. After further investigation it was found that his previous owner had purchased him from a breeder as a puppy and offered no structure, no training. He became the large breed dog he was always going to be and his family became fearful of him. Based off of our initial meet with him, we could tell there was work that COULD be done to reverse this potential aggression. Since being in our care, Hondo has been offered training and basic structure and he is doing so well. He is incredibly people friendly, he walks great on a leash and a harness, he love to play fetch and tug of war. His resource guarding lies in his food. But, it is all about trust and constant structure. Hondo is a great man, loving and loyal. He needs an adopter who is experience and willing to give him the structure and training he needs.<br/>Hondo is potty trained and does amazing in a home environment.
