Homer's Story
Meet Homer!

Homer is a 6-year-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix who is the definition of a loyal little shadow. Once he decides you’re his person, congratulations—you’ve officially got a best friend for life. And I mean 10,000% his person.

Homer is learning that walks, car rides, and new people aren’t nearly as scary as he once thought. He’s quiet, well behaved, and low-to-medium energy, and he absolutely adores kids and other dogs. He’s still pretty timid with men, but he’s learning that they can be pretty great too.

His priorities in life are simple: food, treats, his person, and occasionally checking whether there’s anything interesting in the trash can.

His one major complaint? The crate. Homer has made it very clear that confinement is unacceptable and will protest loudly—and he’s surprisingly talented at escaping. His foster mom has resorted to approximately 30 zip ties and multiple clips because this boy is apparently part dog, part Houdini.

Homer would really love a confident canine companion to help show him that the world is a pretty awesome place. He’s a sweet, gentle guy who just needs a little patience, reassurance, and someone to love as much as he loves them. . He comes with a fresh dental and weights approx 16 lbs.

Homer is in foster in Loveland, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/homer

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
