Homer's Story

Homer is a 1-year-old Miniature American Shepherd/Miniature Poodle mix (Mini Aussiedoodle mix) weighing 30 pounds, with the most striking blue eyes you’ve ever seen.

He can be a bit shy at first, especially with men, but with patience and time, Homer blossoms into a silly, loving, and playful companion. Once he trusts you, he’ll happily run over to shower you with kisses and affection.

Homer is great with other dogs and absolutely loves playtime. You’ll often find him running around the yard with his foster dog siblings, playing chase, or enjoying his favorite toys. It is REQUIRED that he be adopted into a home with another playful dog, as having a canine companion is essential for his confidence and happiness.

He is crate-trained and doing well with house-training. Homer is also very smart and food motivated, already knowing commands like sit, down, and stay. He walks nicely on a leash.

Due to his shy nature, Homer would do best in a home with children 13 and older. With a little patience and a lot of love, he will make a deeply loyal and joyful companion.

To adopt him, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org
His adoption fee is $450, which includes his shots up-to-date, microchipping, neuter, heartworm testing, and teeth cleaning.
