Holly's Story

Meet Holly!

Holly is a very sweet young female Australian Shepherd who is looking for a new home. She is just 18 months old, she is a great weight at 32 pounds, and she has the prettiest black tri coat with lots of white and copper, a cute nub tail and gorgeous eyes. Holly is spayed, microchipped, up to date on her vaccines, and she is current on her heartworm prevention.

Holly is such a smart little cookie! She is food motivated, and so training her has been easy. Holly knows all the basic obedience commands, walks very nicely on leash, and she is housebroken and crate-trained. She is also a perfect passenger in the car.

Holly is very shy when she first meets someone new, and it can take some time for her to get over that shyness. But once she warms up, Holly is very loving, loyal and a great snuggler. She loves her people and is happiest when she is wherever they are. She even loves to watch TV with her humans!

Holly also does very well with other dogs. She is a high energy girl who enjoys running and playing with dogs of all sizes at her doggie day care. Holly also loves to play ball; in fact, her ball is her absolute favorite thing!

Holly’s ideal new family is active, loving, and ready to welcome a spirited young Aussie girl into their home. It is also very important that her new family have time for her—she loves her people, she loves to learn, and she loves to feel that she has a job to do. A fenced yard is required, and children in the home should be at least 10 years old. Holly would do very well as an only dog as long as her new family keeps her socialized, exercised and part of their lives. She may be a great jogging buddy or a sport dog!

If you are interested in applying for Holly, please complete our regular adoption application at https://aussierescueofthemidatlantic.org/applications-2/

Holly is currently located in Fuquay Varina, NC, and she is a candidate for foster to adopt or adoption!
