Hollow's Story
Hollow is a 2 yr old Chocolate Lab/German Shorthaired Pointer mix that is being surrendered by her family due to her high activity level and knocking down their 5 yo in play. The family describes Hollow as a sweet, loving, loyal and friendly dog that loves everyone she meets.
Hollow lives with 2 small kids and is good with them other than knocking them down which they don’t like so much. Hollow also lives with another dog and gets along fine with him, including short games of bitey-face but she is much more people-focused than dog-focused. She has not had much exposure to other dogs other than when out for a walk. Hollow will ignore other dogs that she sees when out for walks and does not try to bark or pull toward them. We think Hollow would do okay with another dog. We also think she would be fine with being the only dog.
Hollow is housebroken and will paw at the back door to let you know she needs to go out. She knows “Sit”, “Down”, “Wait”and “Come”. Hollow has a gentle mouth when taking treats.
Hollow walks well on leash on a flat collar but does pull a little initially. Once settled into the walk she is good for a 45 min walk ignoring other dogs that she sees. Hollow has back-end wobbliness when over exercised. The vet said it’s possible neuro-degenerative but the family could not do the suggested neuro consult. They have found that a 45 min walk is a good amount of exercise without causing any instability in her back end.
Hollow loves attention and getting pets and will jump up on people for attention. She lets people touch her all over and even hug her. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing, it’s attention!
Everyone who meets Hollow comments on how sweet and gentle she is. Once you look into her warm, friendly eyes, we think you will fall in love, too!
https://brooklinelabrescue.org/blog/Hollow-2-5-puppies-chocolate-labrador-retriever-mix-3-years-old/

PLEASE NOTE: While this Lab may not be available for adoption by the time you complete the adoption process, other great Labs are always finding their way into our Rescue.

For more information on this Lab, please contact info@brooklinelabrescue.org.

If you are interested in adopting this Lab or any other Lab from our Rescue, please visit our Web site, brooklinelabrescue.org, for more information on our adoption process.
