Hitchy's Story
Ready to add a little extra joy, energy, and personality to your life? Meet Hitchy

At 2 years old and 65lbs, Hitchy is a lovable, goofy boy with a big heart and an even bigger zest for life. He absolutely adores people and never turns down the chance for cuddles, playtime, or meeting new friends. Whether hes curling up beside you on the couch or enthusiastically heading out on an adventure, Hitchy is happiest being part of the action.

Hes a smart, adaptable boy who genuinely wants to learn and thrives when given structure, consistency, and positive outlets for his energy. One of his favourite activities is working for treats and meals through enrichment toys and food puzzles - keeping his mind busy is key to helping him succeed. He also enjoys a good game of tug.

Hitchy is house trained and has shown himself to be non-destructive in the home when left alone. He is currently working on crate training and, while its not his favourite thing yet, hes making progress. His future family will need patience and commitment to continue building positive crate experiences at his pace.

Hitchy previously lived with a foster who had another dog and did very well with them, enjoying both companionship and playtime. While he has shown to love other dogs, he can become overly excited and struggles with impulse control around them at times. Because of this, Hitchy will require proper, structured introductions and continued guidance to help him build calm social skills around canine friends.

Because of his strength and enthusiasm, Hitchy is looking for a strong, committed handler who is willing to continue working on leash manners, impulse control, and ongoing training.

Despite his energetic side, Hitchy is incredibly affectionate and eager to please. He forms strong bonds with his people and will make an amazing companion for someone ready to invest in helping him become the best version of himself.

Hitchy has not yet been tested with cats or children, so proper introductions would be important.

Location: Durham, ON

Age: 2 Years Old

Weight: 65lbs

Please visit our website www.fullcirclerescue.ca to learn more about this amazing pet and to see our other available dogs.
