Hillary's Story

6/13/26

Puppy Foster or Foster Adopt Homes Needed!

Guess who has arrived! It's Hillary and Tilda now making their debut!! These Lab mix pups are 14 and 13#, respectively, and 10 weeks old. We believe they are likely Lab and possibly Boxer mix so they will likely be 50# full grown. Since we aren't exactly sure of their mix they may be a bit smaller as well.

These poor pups likely didn't have a good start in life, and they are both probably each 5# under weight at this time. They aren't letting this get them down, though. They are otherwise bouncy, happy, inquisitive, social pups will a very bright future ahead just waiting on homes to show them a little love, tlc, guidance and what it means to have a happy home.

Hillary (pup with less white on her face) is a very social girl and quite photogenic. She is VERY treat and food motivated and should be a quick learner. If there is a leaf unturned or ball unchased she will see it that it is found. Afterall, it isn't going to chase itself, right? She is a leader moreso then a follower and would be a great activity partner. Her waggin' tail and wiggle butt make her as cute as a button and we think she will likely be a good kid dog as well.

Tilda is a bit more laid back. She is a bit more cautious when meeting people but warms up quick. She also was a stunt double in a previous life and seems to be fearless when it comes to potentially hazardous conditions while horsing around. She is a bit more shy and will likely need a little more TLC and guidance in a new home but we think she will thrive and keep you laughing along the way.

Both are very gentle pups and should do great with kids, dogs and cats in the home.

Due to their size, activity levels and age, foster to adopt requirements are:

-Living within 80 miles of Adams, NY.
-Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
-Being able to bring her back to our vets office in Adams for additional care, if needed, prior to adoption. After adoption, we recommend taking each to your current vet to be established.
-They are pups so they should be good with children, dogs and cats.
-Willing to have current family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
-Having time available to care for, socialize and start the training of a new pet.

An adoption donation of $500 is being asked for each if you choose to adopt, but fostering is free. They had their initial vet check, are current on vaccines, dewormings and prescription flea and tick medications and both have been spayed.

The first step in our adoption process is the veterinary reference check so please be sure to call your veterinarian's office first thing tomorrow morning, so we can get this step out of the way.

Please help us to continue helping those that knock on our doors!

To foster to adopt: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/pet-adoption-application-form

To foster ONLY: https://form.jotform.com/Meowchatz/foster-application--acbs

--------------
Foster to adopt pets are limited to an 80 mile radius of Adams, NY and pets must be taken to our vets office for care until adoption.

All pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption; animals will not be shipped to their new homes. Dogs in the home must come to the meet and greet as well to be sure they will get along with the new pet. Veterinary reference check and adoption donation also required. Check out our homepage for a full list of our adoption requirements.

http://allcreaturesbigandsmall.petfinder.com Prevent pet overpopulation, spay and neuter your pets!

All Creatures Big And Small, Inc.'s Adoption Policy
All Creatures Big and Small is a foster based rescue, all of our animals are in foster homes. Since we don't have a shelter building, meet and greets are arranged after an application has been approved typically in the foster home. Foster homes are in Jefferson, Oswego and Onondaga counties (NY). The first step in our adoption process is filling out an adoption application. Please be sure to read the application and follow instructions. You MUST contact your current/previous vet upon filling out your application to say it's ok to release veterinary information to us. Once the vet reference check has been completed you will review an email or phone call from our dog or cat coordinator for additional information and to do a phone interview. This typically takes place within 24-72 hours. If all goes well, a meet and greet is scheduled. All family members must come to the meet and greet (including dogs) to make sure it is a good match and everyone is on board to adopt a new pet. If it is decided that the pet is a good match, an adoption can be done at that time and the pet can go home with you All adopters must live within 500 miles of Lacona, NY. We will not ship pets and all family members must travel to the adoption to be sure the pets and family are good with the potential new adoption.
