She loves other dogs and truly wants to just be near her humans! Not only is she affectionate, she is obedient, playful and wants to learn anything you will teach her. She is house trained, does great inside, does not tear anything up. Please note: Big Paws K9 Foster House is entirely volunteer-run. Each of us donate our time while balancing jobs, families, and other responsibilities. We kindly ask for your patience as we work through applications. Before you begin your application, please take a moment to read the following important information. Adopting Through Big Paws K9 Foster House When you adopt a dog directly from us, here’s what to expect: Adoption Fee: $350- modified fees considered when appropriate This includes full veterinary care, spay/neuter (if needed), vaccinations, microchipping, and heartworm testing/prevention/treatment. Application Process: All potential adopters must complete our adoption application, reference checks, vet history verification, and home assessments . . This helps us ensure a good fit for both the dog and your household. Requirements: Breed experience or knowledge is required for certain breeds. Secure, suitable fencing is required; photos must be submitted with your application. A clear plan for training and integrating the dog into your home must be provided. Veterinary reference checks are conducted to confirm that all current or past pets are/were: Up to date on vaccinations On heartworm prevention and tested regularly Spayed or neutered Home Verification: We verify homeownership or landlord approval to ensure that pets are allowed at the property. Adoption Contract: All adopters must sign a contract stating that if at any point they are unable to continue caring for the dog, the animal must be returned to Big Paws K9 Foster House. This ensures our dogs always have a safe place to go, no matter the circumstances. We are committed to responsible placement and lifelong support.
