Meet Hildegard (Hildy)
Hildy is a Livestock Guardian Dog that needs a new home. All info has been provided by her owner Heather. Inquiries about Hildy go to Heather at 575-644-6117 (call or text).
Hildy loves cats, dogs, and people. She is good with kids, but she does get excited and jumps up on people. Hildy is a good girl when getting groomed. She is learning her leash walking.
Hildy does not do well with sheep or goats and cannot live near them. She chases a guinea hen that tormented her as a puppy, or chickens that try to steal her dog food, but Hildy doesn't kill them. She is food aggressive with other dogs, but not with people. She can be in a two-dog home, but not a larger pack.
Hildy's owner thinks she may do best in a human-oriented family. She will probably do well with a solid 6 ft fence. She goes under wire fencing in her current home.
Hildy is spayed and got a rabies shot when she was 9 months of age. She has her parvo (5 in one) vaccinations from puppyhood to 4 months of age. Hildy will be two years old in May 2023. She is about 90 pounds. Hildy is house trained.
