Higgins's Story

Higgins is an adult male Mastiff mix who arrived at Dessin as a stray, so his past is a bit of a mystery. But don’t worry—we’re taking our time getting to know this big handsome guy and learning all about his personality! Higgins is currently awaiting his behavioral evaluation, so we’re still learning how he feels about other dogs and cats. As we get to know him better and complete his evaluation, we’ll update his profile with more information.
For now, we can tell you that Higgins is a big boy with lots of potential, and we can’t wait to see what we discover about him!
Accepting early applications for him!

Dessin Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Adoption: You need to submit an adoption application. The link is below. Once approved, we'll schedule an appointment. Spay and neuter: No pet gets adopted without being spayed or neutered. We're part of the solution to the pet overpopulation problem. Ten point behavioral assessment: A formal, ten point behavioral assessment is conducted on each dog to attempt to identify aggression or behavior problems, as well as to learn about the dog's personality. This helps us determine the best type of home for each dog/puppy.
