Hershey's Story

Meet Hershey! This handsome 2-year-old Lab/Terrier mix weighs in at 34 pounds and is basically a chocolate-coated sweetheart. With his black-and-brown coloring and adorable personality, he’s pretty easy on the eyes but Hershey may need a little time to decide you’re his kind of person.
He can be a little slow to warm up at first, but once he’s comfortable, his playful side comes out! Hershey loves to run, play, and soak up some good old-fashioned pets. Give him a little patience and a chance to get to know you, and you’ll get to see the sweet, silly guy hiding underneath that initial shyness.
Hershey is proof that the best things sometimes take a little time to unwrap!

Since many of our adoptable dogs are in foster homes, appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt!

Our adoption fees include the following: all of our dogs/puppies are current on vaccinations (DHPP and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, heartworm tested and current on preventative, microchipped, treated for fleas/ticks and are spayed or neutered. Our large dog adoption fee is generally $175 + tax. Our small dog and puppy adoption fee is generally $300+ tax. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Due to space limitations, we do not hold dogs.

Because we are on a busy street, we require that all dogs leaving the shelter be in a carrier or on leash. All pets remain up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee paid.
