Hershey's Story

Hershey is a 1–2 year old Dachshund mix with a big personality. This spunky little girl is full of energy and loves being close to her people—wherever you are, that’s exactly where she wants to be.

She’s doing wonderfully with house training and is making great progress learning the ropes on a leash. Hershey is crate trained, settles in nicely, and has proven to be non-destructive in her foster home.

Hershey is mostly indifferent to cats and can coexist just fine. With other dogs, she’s still learning that she doesn’t always have to keep her favorite human all to herself. She can get a little possessive of attention, but she’s improving with consistency and guidance. Because of this, she could thrive either as an only dog soaking up all the love, or in a home with another dog (and humans) that understands her need for boundaries and a little reassurance.

Hershey is a fun, affectionate companion who will keep you smiling with her lively spirit and devotion. If you’re looking for a loyal sidekick who wants nothing more than to be your little shadow, Hershey is ready to fill that role perfectly.

Hershey is in foster in Thornton, Colorado.

*We require all adopters to come to Colorado to adopt. *We do not transport dogs. *

You can view this wonderful dog at https://www.milehighcanine.org/post/dogs/hershey

You can apply for our wonderful dogs at https://www.milehighcanine.org/adopt/adoption-application/.
