Hermie's Story
Breed: French Bulldog
Age: 3 yrs.
Weight: 22 lbs.
Good with dogs: yes
Good with cats: unsure
Good with kids: no
Energy level: unsure
Good with men/strangers: yes
Hypoallergenic: no

Special home requirements or medical: best in a quiet and calm environment; no kids; someone who is home often

Additional info:

Hermie was found tied to a bench all alone in the blazing heat and brought to the shelter. It's clear he had a rough past without much if any medical attention. Both eyes had ulcers, his claws so outgrown they were cutting into his paw pads, and he could barely see if at all. After we rescued him, he received the eye drops and surgical intervention he needed and is slowly healing although he still has some vision impairment.

Flash forward to today...Hermie is the sweetest, cutest little dog that just wants to be near you and will follow you around everywhere. He loves affection and he loves to go on walks. He's very athletic for a Frenchie. He is really well behaved and house trained. He will sleep in his dog bed, and he does not go on the couch unless you tell him to. He can sleep in a crate and has no issues being crated when you leave the house. He is really quiet and does not bark or whine when he's left alone. Hermie seems to have no issues with other people or dogs. He gets stressed out from kids though and the best household for him is in household with no kids. He does best in a quiet and calm environment. He is fine being left alone but he will do best with someone who is home often. His vision is improving day by day and we are looking for that special family to love and care for him forever.

If you are not ready to adopt just yet and would like to help in other ways, please consider clicking on the green Sponsor Me button above to help this dog receive the best care we can give.
