Meet Hercules!!

He is approximately 5 years old, weighs around 140lbs and is the most beautiful St. Bernard!! He wanted to share his story in hopes he will find a forever family!

“Hi there, name is Hercules! I was brought to the shelter by my humans because they said they didn’t know how to care for me. I thought I was pretty lovable but they didn’t think so.

See, for 5 years they didn’t teach me how to be a dog. I didn’t know who to trust or how to know what to do, so I did like all Saints do and I did what I wanted, and it was fun! But I guess my humans didn’t like my free spirit and independence. When I was at the shelter I kept hearing that I “was next”... I knew what that meant, and I’m so glad I didn’t have to take that walk because my friends at SWUAR saved me!

They had me go see this lady and her husband, she’s a trainer I guess, but she’s made it so easy to be a good boi! I really like them, especially when they take me for rides in the car, that is my FAVORITE! They even got me to use my crate, which I don’t love, but I’ll do it because I know they love me and want me to be the best doggo. I love to play in the yard, and play chase, but I’m a gentle giant and will stop when I’m called “sweet puppy”, those words make me melt!
So, this is me. I really want a home of my own. I love working and using my brain with my trainer so my owners should know I would like to keep learning. It takes me a little bit to figure out if I can trust you, but when I do, you’ll have a best friend for life! Because I’m a special boy I would like a family who know boys like me and can understand my Saint traits. Please give me a chance, I’d love to have my own home!”
