Henry's Story

Happy Henry! <br/><br/>Henry is a 8-10 year old dachshund mix that is all set for his forever home! Henry is house broken, great on a leash, great with other dogs, cats and children and just looking to hang out! He will follow foster mommy and daddy from room to room and will always be looking for a seat next to you on the couch. Hes happy just sitting next to you and doesnt ask for constant pets- he just wants to be next to you. <br/><br/>Hes a happy boy and the longer he spends with his foster family the more goofy and playful he gets. Though hes a short, mature king, this doesnt stop him from cutely patrolling the backyard with his foster brother. He prances all over (its very cute to watch). Foster brother even waits for him to go together for their patrols. Hes very good at other dogs social cues which allows for dogs to let him into the pack quickly. <br/><br/>Hes learning basic commands like sit and stay, but is very quick to respond to no, no cues. First, check out our available dogs and puppies.  Contact us if you have specific questions about any of the dogs or for counseling on the right match for you.  We want each adoption to be a good fit for the dog and the family.  This will be a lifelong commitment - possibly 15 or 20 years!  You owe it to yourself and your new family member to make the right choice.  It's a big decision. Next, fill out an application.  Be as specific as possible about your dog experience and what you are hoping to find in your new companion.  A Cold Nose adoption counselor will contact you either via phone or email if there are any questions, then to arrange a meet and greet.   Finally, meet your prospective new companion!  If everything goes well, you will complete the adoption contract and welcome your
