Meet Hemi

If you are looking for a pint sized powerhouse to complete your team, I am your gal! My name is Hemi and I am an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler 10 week old ready to start my professional herding career. I may be small, but I've got a fiery spirit and a heart full of love and I will likely grow to be medium size. Fearless in the face of any challenge, I'm not intimidated by size or circumstance. With a sharp mind and a knack for problem-solving, I've earned a reputation as quite the escape artist—no confinement can hold me for long! Being a typical heeler, I'm true to my breed's instincts. I've got herding in my blood, and I'll use every ounce of my determination to guide you where I think we should go. I get along with other dogs, youngsters of all ages (although I might knock little ones over), and will need a home with a privacy fenced yard, no invisible fencing. I will make an excellent running buddy and regular exercise to keep me physically and intellectually fit. I wouldn't mind participating in extracurricular activities like agility or obedience training. It's important to remember, an intelligent, energetic dog who is not kept occupied will become bored, and a bored, energetic dog can be destructive. Despite the bumps in the road, I'm ready to embrace life with all its adventures and challenges it has to offer!

**As a reminder, puppies will need lots of time and attention during the first year. Before adopting me, please make sure that you have enough time, energy and commitment to devote to my training. Puppies need a lot of care, so everyone in your household should be on board and ready to help out**

**Rescue One is unable to provide an exact prediction of how big or small your rescue puppy will become when full grown. Any approximation provided is no guarantee.**

My adoption fee is $150 and includes my spay/neuter, vaccinations, wellness exam, heartworm test, and microchip! If you're interested in meeting/adopting me, please visit www.rescueonespringfield.com/our-adoption-process/adoption-application/ and fill out the form! We do adopt out of state with vet references and video home check. *Adopter is responsible for coming to get the dog and returning the dog if the adoption does not work out*
