Heidi Great Dane Mix Evansville, IN

LOCATION: Evansville, Indiana
DOB: 12/13/2019

Heidi has had a bit of a rough beginning, but she has flourished in her foster home. She was severely pregnant when she was moved to her temporary home while also being just shy of emaciated. Within 3 hours of being in her foster's home, she gave birth to 13 healthy puppies with very little help which is a miracle all by itself.

Her kids are growing and she is putting weight back on now, so her true personality is starting to shine through. She is an absolute love bug and would do anything for just one more minute of pets and cuddles. The more people who pet her, the happier this girl gets. She gives the cutest puppy dog eyes and just makes your heart melt.

She knows sit, down, shake, and is working on wait. She's not perfect on a leash yet, but she isn't a puller either. She's not real sure what to do with toys, but her foster mom is working on it.

She loves meeting other dogs, but she does not know yet how to properly greet them. She will bark at first then she gets so excited she bunny hops and tap dances on her front feet. (She does this same dance routine when meeting new people.) Miss Heidi isn't sure how to play with dogs yet either. She does live with several male Great Danes and does fine, in general, with them.

She is housebroken and kennel trained. Her foster mom has not left her out unsupervised, but she does not anticipate there would be a problem. Miss Girl can open trashcans if given the opportunity.

Nothing would make this girl happier than lots of family to love and snuggle and to help bring her the rest of the way out of her shell.
