CAT LOVER HERE!! Hello my name is Heavenly (pronounced Hay-ven-lee) and I'm full of love! My foster parents named me that because they said I'm beautiful inside and out. I am about a 1 1/2 years old and my foster parents are teaching me fun things like "ride", "outside", "Sit", "shake", "lay down", "walk" and my favorite, the word "treat". I'm gentle at taking treats and I am non-aggressive if you take a treat away from me. They told me I'm really smart and a fast learner. I learned my new name in a little over a week and can do some fun commands.
I love to go for rides and be where my humans are but what I really love is cuddling up on you. My foster parents tell me I'm not a lap dog, but I think I am. I will try and sit on your lap every chance I get. All 75 pounds of me. That's not too heavy, is it? My foster parents are trying to teach me manners because I like to jump up on everyone, but my foster mom is only 5' tall and I can see eye to eye with her then.
When meeting new people, I might be a little shy at first, but give me time and I'll be their best friend also. I do get a little overwhelmed when there's a lot of people at once. Let me have my space and please don't let them try to force themselves to pet me right away. Let me get use to the crowd and go to people at my own pace.
As it's stated in the first line, I love cats! My foster parents have 2 that I try and play with them all the time.
My foster mom said I probably wouldn't do good in a home with small children either. Not because I'm mean, but because i'm so big and I don't realize my size. I might knock them down and I like to paw at you. I got my foster mom in the mouth once, but I was only trying to say Good morning.
I do get along with other dogs. My foster mom schedules play dates for me with the neighbor dogs so I can run around with my friends and get my excise in and all my energy out. Jokes on her, my energy never runs out!
