<p>Hazel is bonded to Willow H and they must be adopted together.</p><br/><br/><p>Hazel and her sister Willow's foster home is a calm adult-only home, without dogs or cats. Because their history is not fully known, they may need slow, thoughtful introductions to new people, children, and other animals. In their prior home they were ok with cats.</p><br/><br/><p>They would continue to thrive in a calm, structured and predictable environment with owners committed to helping them build confidence. Hazel's gentle nature and role as big sister shines through daily! She is always looking out for Willow, playing, snuggling and backing her up on security duty. She is treat motivated and knows basic commands and words like sit, down, off, up, leave-it/drop-it, go-potty, crate, kiss, breakfast/dinner. With focused training (e.g. puppy socialization and nose-work classes) and positive reinforcement, Hazel will continue to lead the way for her little sister. Hazel is crate trained, potty trained and can roam freely in the home without any issues. Hazel is recovering well from an ear infection and patiently accepts ear washes, drops, and medication tucked into a small bite of cheese. She would benefit greatly with regular ear cleaning, nail trims and grooming. Hazel and Willow are excited for car rides and enjoy going places.</p><br/><br/><p><strong>NOTES FROM HAZEL:</strong></p><br/><br/><p><strong>My People and Alone Time:</strong> My foster family works from home, and when my foster mom leaves, my sister and I have shown some separation anxiety. I bond closely with my humans, so limited alone time, a predictable routine, and gentle reassurance that they will always come back will help me feel safe and settle in. My sister and I may be cautious with new people at first, but we warm up quickly when they approach us calmly at our leveland treats make it even easier!</p><br/><br/><p><strong>Playtime and Walks:</strong> I love doing zoomies inside the house and outside in my foster family's fenced yard. I am so fast that my nickname is Purple-Haze! I also enjoy shorter quiet trail walks and shaded park visits, especially when I can walk side by side with my sister. I like my harness and I'm doing well walking on a leash. My sister and I love playing with stuffies and balls, and sometimes we just like to wrestle with each other.</p><br/><br/><p><strong>Rest and Affection:</strong> When I need a break, I may curl up in my open crate, though I usually prefer the couch, a nearby chair, or any soft spot close to my humans. I could easily sleep in my kennel all night, but my sister prefers us to be near our caregivers, so I support her needs. I love giving kisses, snuggling, and being near the people I trust. I also like to stay close to my sister and can usually be found wherever she is.</p><br/><br/><p> </p><br/><br/><p> </p>
